Coloma began with the discovery of gold on January 24th, 1848. This started the greatest human migration ever known - the California Gold Rush!
January 24th will forever be celebrated in these parts as Gold Discovery Day, but you can relive the excitement of this historic area from your own campsite all year round!
Gold Pan from your campsite! The Coloma Resort Camp Store sells gold pans and gold vials, and instructional handouts are also available.
Coloma Resort is located in the heart of California Gold Country, adjacent to the Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park. You and your family can take part in a self-guided tour through the historic sites.

TUBING ON THE AMERICAN RIVER
Tubing is one of our guests' favorite activities during the summer!
Go with the flow on an adventure down the American River. Tubing is the perfect self-guided, family-friendly activity. The stretch of river in front of Coloma Resort is great for tubing in the hot months of May through September. You and your crew can launch your tube right below the Troublemaker Rapid and ride its current to Henningson Park in Lotus. Don't forget to bring your sunglasses and sunscreen! Tubes and life jackets (life jackets are required) are available for sale in the General Store.

ARGONAUT CAFE OPENS ITS DOORS
We're so excited to announce that our famous Argonaut Farm to Fork Cafe has fully reopened for the summer season!
No glamping trip would be complete without the Argonaut's 'The Farm' breakfast bagel sandwich and mimosa made with fresh squeezed orange juice and local sparkling wine.
The Argonaut Cafe is just a short and beautiful walk from the Coloma Resort and is a favorite with campers, especially those seeking a true glamping experience. Enjoy yummy, healthy, farm to fork food without cooking every meal yourself. Don't forget the gelato and pie, too!
Campers can rest assured that the Argonaut Farm to Fork Cafe is a pajama-friendly environment. Just show up and enjoy your coffee and breakfast (or lunch) in our riverfront outdoor seating area or order to-go and take it back to your camp site.
